The World We Want – NAAEE Podcast

Podcast Creation for NGO NAAEE
TYPE: Podcast

Release date : November 2021

GLOBIO was hired by nonprofit NAAEE – North American Association for Environmental Education – to create, host, edit and launch a 12-part podcast series on environmental education as part of NAAEE’s outreach. NAAEE wanted the podcast to represent the breadth of individuals in the field of environmental education.

The podcasts were designed to connect with listeners around the world and amplify underrepresented voices in the environmental and conservation space, promoting equity and inclusion throughout.

“Imagine a world where communities thrive, curiosity sparks change, and hope isn’t just a wish, it’s a plan in action. The World We Want, the NAAEE podcast that’s not just talking about a better future, we’re bringing it to life, one inspiring story at a time.”
– Carrie Albright, podcast coordinator for NAAEE

The World We Want podcast combined remote recordings with guests from UK, Malawi and the USA to establish a triplet of podcasts for the initial launch. The launch coincided with the NAAEE international conference in Pittsburgh, PA USA in Nov. 2024. At the conference a live recording studio was set up in the conference hotel for recording an additional ten 30-60 minute podcasts for distribution over the following months.

GOALS:

GLOBIO not only expertly guided our team through podcast development, but skillfully hosted the first season.”
– Judy Braus, Executive Director, NAAEE

The goals were two-fold.

First, to create episodes that would shine a light on educators, community leaders, and organizations harnessing curiosity, compassion, and know-how to address the world’s most pressing environmental challenges.

The second, to reach NAAEE’s ever expanding global community with stories and content that was relatable and authentic to the environmental education work they were doing.
